We had the honor of having our Gingerbread Party featured on Amy Atlas right before Christmas, and wanted to share the full party post with you here as well.
Dessert Highlights
Traditional serving pieces on the dessert table were replaced with bake ware such as cookie sheets, whisks, and measuring cups. The Gingerbread Girl's animal cracker friends were served out of measuring cups and cupcakes were placed directly on cookie sheets. A pink fondant cake made by Samantha's Sweets was topped with a gorgeous Gingerbread House with a roof made of Necco Wafers and white chocolate icicles. The ornament garland was made with a mix of vintage and new ornaments strung on pink ribbon (full tutorial found here)
Baker's Oreos by Love and Sugar Kisses displayed red and white striped rolling pins and gingerbread cookie cutouts as well as pink gingham covered oreos. Gingerbread Cupcakes were topped with mini gingerbread men and pink peppermint fondant toppers.
The "Decorate Station"
This is where the children could pick up their cookie decorating supplies such as sprinkles, candies, frosting, and gingerbread cookies.
Hot Chocolate Play Dough & Party Favors
The girls are hard at work decorating. Izzy (left) is the adorable daughter (and future baker!) of Sam from Samantha's Sweets and Elie (right) is the adorable daughter of Stephanie of Studio One Two One.
I made no-sew bow tie for my 'lil man and hot glued it to his apron. The girls' aprons had fabric rosettes in the same brown polka dot fabric.
